In everyday life, people too often loose perspective on what is really important. they can get caught up in their goals and while doing whatever it takes to achieve them, create a tunnel-vision based life. It is almost as if they can only see what matters to them, while disregarding anything else.
But what would happen if they were to take a step back, to slow down and gain a larger perspective? This is what I attempt to capture in my photography; to show the world with a larger, more meaningful purpose. Where something as simple as a coffee cup can tell a story. Where a moment can touch the soul in so many ways, that often times cannot be expressed.
This can be the challenge of photography. Trying to technically express or convey how a moment of simplistic beauty can be quite the task. I aim to move the viewer's soul in the very way that these moments I have captured once moved me.
When you are able to remove the superficial facades of everyday life and view the world as it truly is, I promise you will be in awe in the beauty and truth you will witness. As Ansel Adams once said, "My world has been a world too few people are lucky enough to live in -- one of peace and beauty. I believe in beauty. I believe in stones and water, air and soil, people and their future and their fate."
